It is recommended that you use medium-ground coffee beans, which can be placed directly into the filter. The filter can be used repeatedly by washing it. However, be aware that some very fine coffee particles may pass through the filter since it is made of stainless steel.
The carafe has markings to indicate 2 or 4 cups of dripped coffee. You can use the holder to measure the amount of coffee beans as well as to place the filter after use. The holder has markings to indicate 10g and 20g of coffee beans.
