The 120-piece porcelain dinnerware set created by Serax and Marni is a celebration of the Italian fashion house's artistic vision. Each piece in the set features a captivating floral pattern illustrated by hand by Francesco Risso, Marni's Creative Director.
Marni, the famous luxury fashion house based in Milan, was originally founded in 1994 by Consuelo Castiglioni as an offshoot of the family's fur business. Since then, Risso has reimagined Marni in his own image: artisanal, eccentric and a little disorganised.
The collection showcases his unique artistic perspective through botanically inspired designs. Each piece has an asymmetrical shape that emphasises the importance of quality craftsmanship and the excellence of porcelain. The intricate floral pattern was applied through a decal process, and the final touch of glaze adds durability and aesthetic appeal. The soft colour palette of mauve, teal, pink and lime is illustrated by hand and evokes the floral patterns that are a signature of Marni's fashion line.
The pieces in the collection allow for the creation of a unique visual story, as they can be freely combined to generate endless possibilities that challenge the distinctions between discipline and creative disorder. According to Francesco Risso, the tableware collection is a perfect expansion of Marni's interior design and home decor philosophy, reflecting the brand's diverse approach to lifestyle.
