SERAX Metal Sculptures - Umbrella stand Ella
Everything that the Sicilian designer and artisan blacksmith Antonino Sciortino makes was originally conceived for his own home. This is also the case with the addition to his collection: an umbrella stand named Ella.
As always, Ella’s design is straightforward, which is inherent to the Bauhaus principle of form follows function that Sciortino applies. A round holder divided into 3 compartments, a removable tray and a rubber mat for easy cleaning, that’s all it is.
Made in Sciortino’s favorite material, iron, and brushed black by hand, Ella is a rational object the designer loves to see in a warm home.
Dimensions: H65cmxW28cmxL28cm
Material: Steel
Color: Black
Weight: 2.8kg
Design: Antonio Sciortino

In 1986, Serax was established by Serge and Axel Van Den Bossche, two brothers who started the business in a garage. Over the course of two decades, their small factory grew into a multinational company headquartered in Antwerp, with over 65 employees.
Serax believes that the decoration of a home reflects the personality of its inhabitants, and therefore produces a wide variety of items - from tableware, glassware, and furniture, to flower pots and lighting - in order to create a beautiful and happy environment. Despite its rapid expansion, Serax has remained true to its core values, and all of its collections are still crafted by hand. Serax collaborates with several designers, resulting in successful collections.
Today, Serax is the go-to reference for Michelin-starred chefs who require porcelain or ceramics to enhance the presentation of their dishes.
